Since 1978, we have specialised in the inspection and analysis of metals, minerals and ores, solid fuels, recycling and scrap. We are a key provider of geochemical services to the mining and mineral exploration industry.

The Alex Stewart Geochemical division is committed to a programme of expansion, which will provide additional facilities worldwide to compliment our existing and well-established laboratories.

Strategically located sample preparation facilities pay special attention to standard procedures, quality control and minimisation of contamination. Our first class laboratories perform gold, PGM, base metals and trace element analysis, and can combine traditional fire assay and gravimetric finish with the most up to date instrumentation.

Each of the laboratories participates in numerous certification programmes, including Geostats Round Robins and the CANMET Canadian Proficiency Testing Program. Our laboratory in Ireland is accredited to ISO/IEC 17025 for a wide range of methodologies. Our laboratories in Argentina and Kyrgystan are currently accredited to ISO 9001-2000 but are changing to ISO/IEC 17025 in the near future. Our Russian laboratory in Moscow has completed accreditation to Gost R ISO IEC 17025.
