Acquisition of Eco Tech Laboratory Limited

The Alex Stewart Group is delighted to announce that it has today, 31st July 2008, completed the acquisition of 100% of the shares of Eco Tech Laboratory Ltd with the financial support of Close Brothers Private Equity LLP.

Eco Tech Laboratory, located in Kamloops, British Columbia, is a leading provider of Assay and Geochemical Analysis to the Mining and Exploration industry in Canada. The acquisition represents Alex Stewart Group's entry into the Canadian market. Alex Stewart Group will further invest in the Eco Tech Laboratory infrastructure in order to increase overall capacity and to further service existing and new customers.

Eco Tech Laboratory will continue to trade in its own name as a subsidiary of Alex Stewart Group Ltd. Jutta Jealouse, President of Eco Tech Laboratory, has been appointed as Regional Director for Alex Stewart Group - Geochemical Division and is responsible for growing and expanding the Alex Stewart Group's service offering to the Mining & Exploration industry throughout the Americas. Marcus Hanemaayer has been promoted to the position of General Manager, Eco Tech Laboratories.

This is a very exciting development for Eco Tech Laboratory and Alex Stewart Group as we continue to grow and expand the business.
