Serabi Mining Outsource Mine Site Laboratory to Alex Stewart

Alex Stewart Geochemical is pleased to announce that it has entered into a long-term laboratory outsourcing agreement with Serabi Mining plc to independently manage and operate its Mine Site Assay Laboratory at the Palito Mine in Para, Brazil. This will be with effect from 1.5.2008. The Alex Stewart Group has a long tradition of providing solutions to our customers' needs and our partnership with Serabi Mining plc is a continuation of this tradition. We look forward to working with Serabi Mining for many years.

Serabi Mining plc is a gold mining and exploration company involved in the evaluation, development and mining of gold deposits in Brazil. The company's primary operation is the 100% owned Palito Gold Mine located in the Tapajos region of northern Brazil. Having established a strong, strategic land position in the Tapajos, Serabi's plan is to use Palito as a template for the accelerated development of additional gold mines in the region. Serabi's shares are listed on the AIM market of the London Stock Exchange under the ticker symbol SRB.
